Cue It

A Cue It community for your school

A members-only space for your students and staff. Only people who confirm an email address at your school can join, and Cue It staff set it up and look after it with you.

How it works

  1. You ask

Tell us your school's name, the handle you'd like, and the email domains your students and staff use — the part after the @. You need a Cue It account to ask, and that account becomes the community's owner.

  2. We check and set it up

Cue It staff confirm the request is real, then create the community with its email rule already switched on. We email you when it's ready, usually within a few days.

  3. You share one link

Your school's own sign-up page. Anyone with a school address signs up there, confirms the address with a code we email to it, and they're in. Nobody else can join.

What stays true

  • It's members-only. Its posts, Cues and member list are visible to members and nobody else.
  • A Cue made inside it can't be shared outside by link, and nobody outside can be added to one.
  • Typing a school address isn't enough. Each person proves it by entering a code we email to it, and one inbox can vouch for one account.
  • Cue It staff can remove anyone, and block them so they stay out — even with a new account.
  • Once a year, Cue It staff can ask everyone to confirm their address again, so people who have left drop out.

What students see

They open your school's link, sign up with their school email, and type the code we send to it. Students who already have a Cue It account sign in and confirm their school email on that account instead — nobody needs a second one.

One thing to check first

Some school email systems turn away mail from outside senders, which would stop the codes arriving. Before you share the link, we'll send a test code to an address at your school so you can check it lands — and not in spam.
